We, EMOR GROUNDWORKS LTD regard the occupational health and safety of all employees, of any contracted or temporarily engaged employees, and all of the members of the public affected by our operations as being of paramount importance. It is our policy to enlist the active support of all employees to provide safe and healthy working conditions and to develop a positive health and safety culture.
We will seek to ensure that we carry out operations in a way that complies with the spirit as well as the letter of current health and safety legislation and approved codes of practice, and in accordance with the best health and safety practice. Compliance with legal requirements is regarded as a minimum standard.
While we accept overall responsibility for the formulation of health and safety operated responsibility for its implementation and development lies with each individual employee and us.
The policy is intended to reflect my recognition that we have an obligation to set and maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities, not only as these affect employees, but also where they affect clients, the general public and or the environment.
Objectives:
• To promote standards of safety, health and welfare that complies fully with statutory requirements and approved codes of practice, and which take into account current developments.
• To maintain safe and healthy work places, to operate safe systems and methods of work to protect employees, clients and others, including the public, by striving to eliminate foreseeable hazards which may result in personal injury, security losses or damage to property through the systematic identification of hazards and the adequate assessment and control of risk.
• To provide and maintain a safe and secure working environment for employees with adequate facilities and arrangements for their occupational health and welfare.
• To provide employees with the information, instruction and training they need to work safely.
• To develop safety awareness and individual responsibility for health and safety among employees.
• To encourage full and effective joint consultation on health and safety matters at all levels and to pursue a progressive improvement in health and safety performance and the management of health and safety.
